Blue and Fuchsia Wedding Cord + Matching Rosary

Here are some picture’s of the wedding cord with a matching rosary that I made for a client based in Australia. Their wedding colors were dark blue and fuchsia. This is a special cord since I it’s another one of my firsts. I used crystals, stone chips, rhinestone and Pandora crystal balls.

A trademark for my wedding cords is that the center or tail of the wedding cord are detachable and can be used for other purposes. Most wedding accessories end up in your treasure chests and is long forgotten. I thought of the idea to make use of certain parts of my handmade creations to be useful and practical. This particular wedding cord’s tail can be detached and used as a beautiful bag charm. This is a beautiful reminder of your wedding day and you can take this with you anywhere.

I used Pandora balls in dark blue, silver and fuchsia accented with the couple’s initials in rhinestone. These crystals didn’t come cheap. But, I don’t scrimp on the materials I use.

The connector with rhinestones. I also used some stone chips which added a nice surprise texture to the usual oval or round crystals. I think those teardrop crystals are just gorgeous.

..

The bride also requested for a matching rosary. I used teeny tiny crystals and fresh water pearls. I used a rhinestone cross for this.

These orders took a bit of time to complete since my other supplies took longer to deliver. Nevertheless, I think this is just gorgeous, isn’t it?

All of my creations are handmade, therefore, No two items are alike. That’s the beauty of handmade.

Please do visit our site Marryl & Lauren for more wedding essentials and handmade creations.

P.S. To Roue and Ilyne, may you have the most memorable wedding day on the 26th. Thanks for making me part of your wedding. I definitely enjoyed making these for you. Thanks also to Khendi of Wedding Errands Cebu for facilitating their order.

Vintage Rustic-inspired Moss Ring Pillow

I couldn’t be more excited when I got an email from a follower a couple of weeks ago asking if I could do a rustic/country-inspired moss wedding ring pillow. I said yes in a heartbeat.

I’ve done one like this last year but had a ‘not so inspiring experience’ with the client and I figured it didn’t deserve any space here in my blog so that’s the history of me and moss wedding ring pillows, haha!.

But this time, I was very excited (too excited was more like it) and very inspired to make this. The bride-to-be just asked me to make a unique wedding ring pillow that is vintage-inspired and for an outdoor wedding.

Nothing says outdoors like this ring pillow, right?

I used jute twine to add to the rustic look. Since it was a wedding, I thought it’d be cute to add these teeny tiny kissing birds which were barely an inch in size. I also added some handmade items that I’ve made a week ago like the paper flower, the paper heart twine and the felt flower which added character to the moss ring pillow.

I hope the bride and groom will love this unique wedding ring pillow (will ship this tomorrow) that I made especially for them. I definitely enjoyed making it!

Love, love, love!

Purple and Pink Wedding Ring Pillow

Hi everyone! How’s your weekend? We’re having a long weekend and I am so loving it. There’s three long weekends for the month of August in our side of the world. Yes, threeeeeee! I love the sound of that!  That means I can have some well-deserved quality time with family and friends. And of course some orders to finish up. I haven’t really said hello to all of you as often as I wanted to. So sorry about this but I hope I can say hi to everybody even once a week but with some orders and work, deadlines are really catching up on me. But thank you ladies for the orders.

For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, I have a little online shop called Marryl & Lauren. I make handmade wedding details like crystal wedding cords, wedding ring pillows, unique boutonnieres and so much more. I love working with my hands and there’s just something about weddings that makes me happy and reminds me of my wedding some years ago. I was the DIY bride and did so many DIY projects in my wedding. This little online shop and my other blog is my way of sharing to brides-to-be some wedding inspiration and DIY projects.

I thought I might share with you a wedding ring pillow I’m making for a lovely couple Emil and Maita. They are having a purple and pink wedding theme.

I’ve accented this purple pillow with my handmade fabric flower with rhinestones and pearls in the center. The purple pillow looks really elegant with the white fabric flower.

To Emil and Maita, thanks for making me part of your wedding. I’ve enjoyed making this wedding ring pillow for you. Congratulations and best wishes!

Unique Boutonnieres

Who needs boring fresh flower boutonnieres that will just wilt? Here are unique Statement boutonnieres that you can actually have as keepsakes. Only for the stylish grooms with a sense of style and individuality.

Here are some of the boutonnieres that I’ve done for some clients recently. The more stylish the couples, the more excuse I get to do more crafting and be more creative. It’s never boring for me (Thank you guys!).

For those of you who haven’t read my post on Statement Boutonnieres, I was referring to the newest trends in weddings and it’s all about the details. I always say “Love is in the details” and it really is.

Weddings now are on vintage, DIY and picture-worthy weddings. Grooms shouldn’t be taking a backseat. If your man can rock a unique, keepsake boutonniere that makes a statement, then why not?

The flip-flops boutonniere above was for a beach-themed wedding. It’s made of Capiz shells and seed beads. Those little tiny rosettes are in the couple’s wedding colors.

This is another customized boutonniere for a stylish groom from the Philippines. I’ve added a plum fabric flower that I made that’s barely an inch in size. This cute little canoe or what we call “bangka”  is very reminiscent of the Philippines. I love how unique and how it says something about the grooms nostalgia of home, Aaawwww.

This is a peacock feather boutonniere with light pink felt rosettes as accent.

I hope you  got a few ideas to make your man feel extra special on your wedding day.
