About MARRYL

You don’t have to be rich and famous to live your best life.

I’m a self-proclaimed craft artist ( Marryl’s Arts & Crafts) and educator. I celebrate motherhood, marriage,  Home & Living. I have a love affair with food, and all things crafty and lovely.

I happily eat my way through life and I write about my kitchen mishaps, craft projects (and failed attempts! who’s counting?) and my life in Cebu where the sun never fails to smile at me everyday (Ok, almost everyday).

Oh, and I recently had  my Aha! moment: I love teaching and crafting! My big dream?  To do both! How? I want to have my very own preschool and Craft store someday. But the craft store is on top of the list, offering craft supplies and Classes. Yes! My very own Michael’s store (we don’t have one here in Cebu. Sad place for a crafter like me. But I make do with what I have). I will name it of course MARRYL’s! Aahh, bliss!

p.s. This blog is NOT for your personal consumption. It’s for my five-year-old daughter:

Sure, the posts on DIY & Crafts and some of my personal recipes are for everybody to use (those who know how to say thank you and are gracious enough to give me a PINGBACK), bless you! :) But, this blog was created for my little princess, who will have a virtual place (when she’s old enough to surf the internet for all things crafty and yummy (For now, she’s limited to Starfall) where she will have a virtual place to find how I cook our favorite dishes, what crafts or projects I’ve been doing or just get inspirations on how to celebrate life.

p.s.s. The 2nd headfake (I’m borrowing this from Randy Pausch, God bless his soul) is for myself:

This chronicles what I’ve been doing (crafts, cooking, parenting, teaching, etc.). It’s my personal check and balance kinda thing. If I’m posting something then it means I have something worth sharing (hopefully just a few ramblings, promise! there’s too many blogs doing that. I can’t keep up with them. This slow woman is taking forever to type). It should be worth putting out there hoping to inspire someone whether in teaching young children, being creative with DIY and crafts or just inspire someone to choose the life you want to lead.

I say Life is a Choice. It’s too short to be anything but Happy and Ordinary.

Welcome to Marryl All Write and get crafty, creative, celebrate and inspire someone to live their best life (don’t forget to take a nap :) )

Please help bring me closer to my dreams by showing me some love. For suggestions on posts, comments or what not, send me some lovin’ at marrylallwrite@yahoo.com

Funny but I never seem to think of it that way. Now that you mentioned it, November truly is our family month. About a week ago, we celebrated our daughter’s 4th birthday and on the same day celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. Isn’t it just a blessing to be able to celebrate life, to savor every moment and to feel joy in your heart? That is happiness.

      Best regards,

      Marryl

I need to learn how to use the sewing machine. It’s in my bucket list. In highschool, I went to an exclusive school for girls and we all had to learn how to sew a pajama. Everyone else made one, except me!haha! Let me know how you’re doing with your crafts.

Hi Marryl! I just wanted to say thank you for commenting on my blog – I’ve stopped blogging under The Novice Nosher and now have a new one in case you’re interested: awhiskandamile.com.

Love your blog! So crafty and love the food pics even though they make me hungry LOL. I think it’s such a cool idea to have made this blog for your daughter.

I look forward to all of your future posts!

Thanks for your kind words. What we actually don’t realize when we write something on our blog is that we have the opportunity to inspire others, hopefully in a positive way. Whether it’s about fashion, food or crafts, we are able to inspire them to ACT. Just like the first post I’ve read in your blog, i have acquired the inkling for Korean BB creams. Thanks to you and my friend Agnes. I’ve been converted, hahaha!
